Adding a companion animal to your family should never be an impulsive decision. One of the fundamental questions you should ask yourself is whether or not the pet will fit into your lifestyle and priorities. Working hours, a busy social life and regular trips away from home are all factors that need to be carefully considered. Companion animals thrive on human company and will always depend on you. You must be sure that your lifestyle will accommodate them. Before you adopt or purchase a dog with us, consider these specific requirements. We are committed to ensuring that each and every one of our Australian Labradoodles receives the best care and attention. Perhaps you are not ready to apply for a puppy yet and you are still in the learning and researching phase, which is certainly very important. Spending time on our website is a great way to learn more.
If you’re ready, we warmly invite you to be part of either one of our dog programs, namely the full ownership or the guardian programs. Details on both schemes are provided on our webpage, under “adopt” in the webpage menu. If you instead want to become a breeder, please contact us.
Excited to embark on this meaningful journey with us, please carefully read and follow the process below:
Step 1 (Get to know our adoption schemes)
Carefully go through our dog programs. Decide which one you wish to be considered for and make up your mind on some of your puppy preferences. Note however that the nature being what it is, we cannot guarantee that all your preferences will be met.
Step 2 (Puppy application form)
Fill in and submit the puppy application form, and wait to be contacted. Note that we will only get in touch with families that we find suitable for adoption.
Step 3 (Face-to-face meeting)
Selected families will be invited to attend a face-to-face meeting. As a responsible breeder, we want to be very upfront with the potential adopting families, and we hope they will be upfront too. We have the best interests of our puppies in mind, not whoever has the money. To work out who is the perfect fit for our special ones, it is important to get to know the potential buyers and ask them a number of questions to ensure they have the capacity to meet the physiological, behavioral and social needs of the dog. The face-to-face meeting will also be the occasion for the potential buyers to meet our pregnant bitch(es).
Note that on special cases only (e.g. potential buyer living very far or abroad) can the face-to-face meeting be done remotely.
Step 4 (Joining the queue and paying a deposit)
If we are satisfied with the meeting, you will join our queuing system (waiting list). You will be asked for a non-refundable deposit of 500€, to be paid no later than a week after you received an email from us. It should be understood that the deposit you pay is to reserve a puppy from an upcoming litter, before the agreement is signed. Failure to make the payment will be understood as a withdrawal from the adoption process.
The nature being unpredictable, we cannot guarantee that upcoming litters will be fulfilling all your expectations. To avoid struggling with unrealistic puppy expectations, we recommend some flexibility in your preferences.
If our litter is smaller than expected, you may request for a refund of your deposit or to be shifted to the waiting list of the coming litter where you will be assigned a high priority. On the other hand, if you are not interested in the puppy being offered to you, you will automatically be shifted to the coming litter(s).
Step 5 (Hurrah!!! Puppies are born)
We will email you approximately two weeks after the puppies are born, with some pictures and videos of the litter, in case you’re among the selected families. Thereafter, you will receive personal updates every week by WhatsApp or Signal, until you pick-up your puppy. About two weeks from the puppies birth, we should have a clear knowledge on the amount of puppies available for adoption. Selected families from the waiting list will be invited for a pup visit, that will be held between weeks 4 and 5. During that visit, we will go through the contract, and other important aspects relevant to the puppy.
Step 6 (Puppy acceptance and contract signing)
Consenting to receive either one of the puppies within the litter is the next stage in the adoption process. We will try our best to meet your preferences expressed on the puppy application form and during the pup visit. However, it should be understood that each puppy has its own temperament and personality. Puppies are just like people. They have different personalities. And like people, a puppy can have more than one personality or possess a combination of personality traits. For most puppies, however, there’s usually one trait that’s more dominant than all of the others.
Pups have a noticeable personality type by the time they are between 6-8 weeks old. As such, knowing what personality type or traits each pup possesses will be one of the grounds to assign puppies to the right families! Once we know which puppy to assign to your family (around week 6), you will be emailed the contract together with some cute pictures of your future companion. You therefore have two alternatives:
- Accept the offered pup, sign and return the contract to us by email,
- or decline the offer; in which case you will be automatically shifted to future litters waiting lists.
Step 7 (Payments)
Once you return the signed contract by the date mentioned in the email, you will be emailed an invoice that amounts to 3000€ (incl. VAT) for the full ownership program, i.e. the full price of the dog (3500€, incl. VAT) minus the deposit (500€). For the Guardian program, this remainder will be presented during the face-to-face meeting. The payment is due 7 days after you received the email at the latest. Failure to make the payment by the due date will have the consequences we deem appropriate.
Note that all the payments, i.e. the deposit, the balance or any other payment related to the puppy, should be done using the same bank account, by the person who will sign the contract.
Step 8 (Pick-up)
It’s time to go home!!! Puppies are able to go home between 8-9 weeks old and in general we schedule pick-up dates during week 8 for families who are able to do it in person. Unfortunately, it’s a common issue with puppies and bitches to go through anxiety when separated. That’s the reason why different pick-up dates are arranged to attenuate this isolation distress. As a future dog owner, there is one thing you should understand about separation anxiety in puppies: it’s not necessarily related to something that you did or didn’t do! It isn’t something that you should feel guilty about or think there’s no solution. You simply need to be close to your dog, show some love, work with him or her through its anxieties, to help building up its resilience.
We understand that picking up your furry companion in person might not always be possible. Therefore, we offer a “door-to-door” home drop-off service at your convenience, at additional costs, depending on your location, the used means of transportation, etc. This means we personally ensure that your puppy arrives safely in your arms, without involving any third parties in the delivery.
Moreover, If you are unable to pick your puppy or have it delivered by the end of week 8, we may keep your furry companion until week 10, at an additional cost of 100€ per week.
